Happy Warrior:

The term Happy Warrior comes from an 1806 poem by William Wordsworth, titled “Character of the Happy Warrior.” He described the “happy warrior” as a brave, generous, and moral person, who was able to remain virtuous even in the midst of distress – one who remains stalwart and undiscouraged in the face of adversity. We believe this described Renea as she was diagnosed and lived with cancer.

Happy Warrior Foundation – Vision Fund:

Dedicated to serving community members in need by providing an accessible avenue for individuals to receive free exams and/or low cost eyewear. Any person in need of vision correction and who is diagnosed with cancer, a Happy Warrior, can receive low cost eyewear and free exams at the Kaster Eye Clinic.

Renea’s Story:

Born to a practicing optometrist, Renea was surrounded by conversations and actions that developed within her the understanding of how having the right pair of lenses can support someone’s confidence along with improving their vision. She made a career of vision care and had a knack for matching eyewear to clients. She helped them not only to improve their vision, but to also feel confident and look their best.
